Use case: Glass management in Ushant
In partnership with the SDEF (Syndicat Départemental d’Energie et d’équipement du Finistère) and Eiffage Energie Systèmes
Complex waste management !
Waste management is an issue of concern today. Over the years, scientific, environmental and technological advances have made it possible to modernise and facilitate waste management. The treatment and recycling of waste is essential to preserve our planet. This allows the creation of new resources thanks to existing ones: recycled glass, reused textiles or transformation of bio-waste into compost.
On the islands, waste management is an even more difficult subject to deal with. Indeed, maritime transport, seasonality and high costs make the process more complex.
Here is a report made in Ushant to help you understand the journey of a glass bottle on the island with the interview of the Mayor of Ushant.
